I've often wondered why people say "a penny for your thoughts." If you really wanted to know what someone was thinking wouldn't you pay more? Especially if those thoughts could determine the course or your life? Maybe it's just me.
I'm taking test shots and finishing the writing for Episode 27 and honestly wondering just what she is thinking. Maybe she's thinking about Nico, or maybe Blake, or maybe she's thinking about why she's stuffed up in this tiny little cottage when there is a big fat family compound across town. But then, she knows the answer to that last one: too many bad memories. Memories she will soon be revisiting.......that was a hint by the way ;)

oh my god this place is gorgeous! I love the stone combined with the desert, it's just stunning!
I have no idea about the penny for your thoughts. Maybe it's so old that a penny was really worth something. It is kind of strange.
Thanks Beth. I love how it feels like it is carved out of desert rock. I think that's why I've kept her here for so long; that and the fact that it is way easier to shoot scenes in than a very large house.
I had the same idea about the penny. Must have been when pennies were the equivalent of about 5 to 10 dollars. Long, long ago.
Don't laugh but I know where that expression came from. Penny for your thoughts actually got turned around a bit. People used to give their "tuppence worth" to people as in they were offering an opinion that probably held no value.
I am a well of trivial information.
Love that lot so much, every detail including the background.
HA, Gayl! And I thought I was the only one that held onto that kind of stuff (my BFF calls me Wikipedia). That explanation makes more sense than how we say it now.
And thank you. I wish I could take credit for that house, though I have added my touches here and there :)
